It takes 1 hour from Hiroshima Airport to Hiroshima city.
From Hiroshima City to Itsukushima Shrine at Miyajima, please follow the route below.
Hiroshima Station → By train to Miyajimaguchi Station → By ferry to Miyajima (It takes about 1 hour).
Public transportation at Hiroshima is very convenient, so there is no worry even if you are travelling yourself!
Once you reach Miyajima, many deer will be welcoming you. So cute!!
At Miyajima, you will find Itsukushima Shrine, shopping street and hotels. It is a small island so it is easy to get around.
When it is high tide, it seems like the Torii (traditional Japanese gate at shrines) is floating on the sea and the view is just fantastic!
Around noon, when it is low tide, you can have fun like this!
Around Itsukushima Shrine, there is a shopping street with many food stalls and souvenir stalls.
At night, enjoy Itsukushima Shrine Light Up while taking the night cruise.
Arimoto Hotel which is located in Miyajima is highly recommended!

On Day 2, it is time to try the Anago Meshi (conger ell rice) at Ueno.

Then, you can visit Kintai Bridge at the neighboring Yamaguchi prefecture.
It takes a 40 minutes train ride from Miyajima to Iwakuni Station, and another 20 minutes by bus to Kintai Bridge.
Lastly, you can visit the historical sites at Hiroshima city.
There are many interesting places to visit at Hiroshima. Also, there are many nice food!
